Jeremiah 51:1-53 ~ Titus 2:1-15 ~ Psalm 99:1-9 ~ Proverbs 26:17

Today is the 27th of October. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It is great to be here with you. Last moments here out on the West Coast, the Pacific Northwest, getting ready to fly home, be home this afternoon. I'm tired, but it was great, a wonderful time in the Tri-Cities, wonderful time in Bellingham. Thank you for all of you who came out and said hello. Thank you for all of the hospitality everywhere. I love coming out here and will hope for Reframe to come out later next year again. I would love to come to Seattle. We would love to come to Portland. So hopefully we can. Anyway, so we’re reading from the Names of God Bible this week and we have been working our way through Jeremiah, which we are continuing to do and we began Paul's pastoral letter to Titus yesterday, which we’ll continue.

Prayer

Father, thank you for your kindness and your love and nearly every day we thank you for your Word because it is the context for why we’re even here, why there is a Daily Audio Bible community, how it is that our hearts have kind of gotten bound together, wrapped around the world and moving forward in the same direction. It is because of your Word. So we thank you for scriptures, both in forming this community and in our individual life changes because you are continually about the work of transforming and changing us. So we seek to partner with you in that. We have to confess that we have fought against change a lot, we have fought against you in all the things you are going after in us, but we’re learning and it is because of your Word and it is because of our orientation to your Word and through your Word. So we are grateful and we say come Holy Spirit and continue the work that you have begun in us and reveal to us the places that we are fighting you, the places that we are holding back, the places that we’re just not allowing access. That is not how we want to live. It is just our own desire to be the sovereign of our lives, even we know we’re not good at it and we know we’re not capable. We do it without thinking about it. So we invite you again to be the Lord of our lives. There is no hope but you. We put all of our hope in you and we love you, heart, mind, body, will, spirit, future, past, present, everything that we ever will be, everything we ever dream of, everything that we are. We can’t do any of it without you, without your presence, without your companionship, without your friendship, without you fathering us, so come once again we pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Announcements

Www.DailyAudioBible.com – that is home base. That is where you find out what is going on around here and well, travel today is what is going on around here for me, heading back to the rolling hills of Tennessee after an extended weekend out here in the Pacific Northwest. Like I was saying at beginning, it was a great time, definitely ready to be home, definitely ready to be back to the family. I miss them when I'm traveling alone. I don’t travel alone all the time, but this time I did, so I'm looking forward to getting home to everybody. I thank you for coming with me because wherever I go, then I don’t have to feel alone, which is the beauty of our community. So travel today.

This Thursday, which is the 29th, we will wrap up our Periscope study of Reframe, so definitely plan for that at 7:30 p.m. Central Standard Time. If you don’t have the Periscope app, if you haven’t participated yet, this will be the last chance for this for Reframe. Just get the Periscope app from your Apple app store or from your Android Google Play store. It is free. Follow Daily Audio Bible and you’ll be alerted when we start. So that will be fun. Looking forward to that. Then we’ll talk more on the Facebook Group after that.

This coming Sunday Louisville, KY, Reframe comes to Louisville. New Song Christian Fellowship -- www.NewSongLouisville.org is their website so check that out for service times and directions. And then November 8th we’ll be in Chattanooga. Then November 15th we’ll be in San Diego area for Reframe and that will end the 2015 part of the Reframe Tour. We’ll pick back up in January.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at www.DailyAudioBible.com. Thank you. This is how everything exists, through everyone's collective partnership, so thank you for being life-giving to Daily Audio Bible if it has been life-giving to you. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

And then I should mention since there are only a few days left, all of the month of October we’ve released the Reframe Films, which is five cinematic films that take the themes from Reframe deeper and just allow you to reframe, keep understanding that this is a process and keep looking deeper, keep looking at things in ways that will free the rut that we have built up over time in our lives. So we’ve released that. It is fine and perfect for individual study, but it is ideal for a conversation starter among friends. So what we’ve said is hey, listen, if you’ll get seven books and pass them out to those that you love or build a group around them, we’ll give you this DVD for free, we’ll mail it to you postage paid and everything and give you a voucher so you can download them as well. That is going on until the end of the month. So if you go to www.ReframeBook.com, any of those retailers, wherever you might be, if you order from one of those and just email the receipt to Reframe@DailyAudioBible.com, we’ll get you hooked up. If you get 10 or more, we will also throw in an additional Reframe book, a signed first edition copy of Reframe. So there are a few days left on that, including today, five days left in that offer. So check it out at www.ReframeBook.com.

As always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

That is it for today. I'm Brian. I love you. I’ll be waiting for you here, tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports

Good morning DAB family. Nana Jones from Spring Hill here. I was very, very touched this morning when John S. from California called in. John, I want to thank you for being so courageous to call in and ask for us to pray for you and we will be doing that. I just want to give you a little practical advice, if I may. Please search out any of your churches in your area for a Celebrate Recovery program. It is kind of like an AA kind of thing but it is more Christ centered. Many, many, many churches across the country have the Celebrate Recovery, they call it CR. My husband has greatly been touched by that program and God has really used it in his life and I believe he can use it in yours. Again, it is called Celebrate Recovery. DAB family, on another note I ask you to please continue to pray for my daughter Tiffany. She has gone back into a job that is not good for her. If you haven’t heard already and you haven’t been praying for her, I would really appreciate it. She is an exotic dancer and that is what she does to provide for her and her 4-year-old daughter, my granddaughter, so please pray for Tiffany, that the Lord will open other doors for her and draw her into his kingdom. Thank you so much for everybody that has been praying for me during my recovery. I love you, family, and I continue to pray for all of you every day. Thank you, Brian, for this forum, for your obedience, and for your love for Christ. Love you, family. Talk to you later. Bye-bye.

Hi, my name is Liz and I would like prayer for the Lord to help me accept the loss of my marriage of 30 years. I would also like prayers for my estranged husband and my daughter Anna, that Jesus would come to them and that they would receive him, that they would stop rebelling against him and come to a place of repentance and an awareness of sin. Thank you very much.

Hi, my name is Rebecca from New Mexico and I just wanted to thank Brian and Jill for all their hard work. I really enjoy listening to this podcast. I just want prayer. Today is my son's birthday, October 23, 2015. He is facing some legal struggles and some medical struggles and I just pray that all of you would hold him in your thoughts and prayers for guidance and just give me all the strength dealing with this crisis. I thank God for everything that he has done for all of us. God bless you all, guys, every day of your life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Hello and good evening Daily Audio Bible family. This is Jay calling from New Jersey. I'm calling today for John S. Let's pray. John, if you're out there and you're listening, pray with me, man. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much for your love, your grace, your kindness and your mercy. Mighty God, we come before you now asking for your forgiveness, Father, your forgiveness of your Son, Jesus Christ. Father, we ask that you will cover us in your blood right now, Mighty God, and cleanse us of all sin, all unrighteousness. Father, wipe like soap, Mighty God. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we know that if we fall down, God, we can get up in your Son, in the faith in your Son Jesus Christ, who nailed our sins to the cross. Mighty God, we thank you for this forgiveness. We thank you for this freedom to overcome sin, Father. We thank you now, Mighty God, that we know that once we fall down we can get back up. And Mighty God, now that we have gotten up, Father, we brush ourselves off. Father, we know that as we go through these trials, these tribulations, that in order for the minerals to become steel, Father, they must go through the fire. So Father, in this fire we put our faith in your Son, Jesus Christ, and what he did on that cross, Father. We thank you for it. We glorify you, Father. We praise your name, Jesus Christ. We lift you up. We bless you. And Mighty God, we pray now that your Holy Spirit will come upon us and convict us each and every time that we think about committing these sins, Father. We pray that it will convict us in a way that cannot be ignored. We pray, Mighty God, that you will ignite a thirst and a hunger for your Word within us that we cannot quench unless we read it. Father, we thank you now for being so good, so kind, and so sweet to us and we praise you. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. John, email __________.

This is Paul calling from the beautiful Columbia Gorge, Hood River, OR. First time caller, I’ve been listening to the Daily Audio Bible for about 18 months. I have a prayer request today for a dear friend named Richard from Texas. His son Peter is in his early 40s. He was plagued with terrible allergies and asthma through his youth and developed rheumatoid arthritis. Recently he has had a number of medical setbacks and I just learned today that he has osteomyelitis in three vertebrae of his spine, an infection that apparently is resistant to all the antibiotics that have been tried, so he is in rather desperate shape. I'm calling for prayer help for miraculous intervention for Peter, Peter Z. Thank you.
