Ezekiel 12:1-14:11 ~ Hebrews 7:1-17 ~ Psalm 105:37-45 ~ Proverbs 27:3

Today is November 5th. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. How is it going? How are you today? How are things with you? Good? I hope so. If not, man, where else can we go besides this nice waterfall in the background, this serenity, this space we’ve created for ourselves to be alone but together, this scripture that speaks life and truth, this friend that we have in the Bible and the Holy Spirit hovering above us and around us and beneath us? Where else would we go to get our orientation back in all of the spin of life that makes us dizzy? So we’re in the right place and we’ve come for the right reason, so things are about to straighten out.

We’re reading from the New Life Version this week.

Prayer

Father, we thank you for another day forward in your Word and we ask that you plant these words deep in our hearts and we ask for the promise of your Holy Spirit, that you would lead us into all truth. We present ourselves before you and make ourselves present to you in all things this day. We ask that you lead and guide us, certainly, but more than that, we ask for your presence, that we can just be together today. Sure, there is a lot to do, but what a joy it is to do it with you. What a joy it is to go through the day just having conversation, just being together as we work our way through the day. This is what you’ve wanted and this is what we’ve withheld. So we don’t want to withhold. We want your presence. We want your presence beyond a wonderful service on Sunday or some other time. We want your presence always. We just want to be with you, so we invite you into our day completely, in every way, every conversation, every word, every decision, every choice, every contemplation, every ambition, every goal, every doubt, every fear, all of it. We invite you into all of it. We need you in all of it. We want you in all of it. So come Holy Spirit, we pray. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Announcements

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is home base. It’s the website. It's where you find out what’s going on around here. A few things going on around here – let's see. So I mentioned yesterday we have Klean Kanteens back in stock. They go so fast and they take so long to make, we don’t always have them, but we have them now -- my favorite insulated, double-walled thermos mug, my favorite thing to drink coffee out of in the whole world that I’ve ever found (and that is no joke). I mean, that is even why we have Klean Kanteens. I stumbled upon this at a coffee shop out west and, I don’t know, I was like on this quest for the perfect coffee mug for years. I had one I liked. It kind of kept the coffee warm, but then I found this and I was like, ‘man, that is really expensive.’ And I was like, ‘okay, it's either really expensive because it is just hyped, or it is really expensive because it is that good of quality.’ And I sprung for it. I don’t usually do that, but I sprung for it and I was like hooked, ‘okay, this the best coffee mug ever.’ This keeps my coffee warm for like 6 or 7 hours. So then, after that I was like, ‘man, I want these for the Daily Audio Bible. Can we do these?’ And we could. It was like, ‘wow, this is really expensive. I don’t know,’ but we blow through them every time we get them.

So we have them back in stock. We haven’t had them for a few months, but we have them back in stock. They’ll go and they’ll be gone and then we’ll get some more. You can find them at the Daily Audio Bible Store. Check it out.

Also, the Reframe Audio Edition has been released and you can get that wherever you buy books. Www.ReframeBook.com is the Reframe website and there are links to all the places that you can grab that. So please check out the audio edition of Reframe. If you’ve gone through Reframe, that is beautiful and praise the Lord for that. The audio edition I think, I don’t know, I'm kind of an auditory learner and I'm kind of a reader, so it speaks in a different way, so check it out.

Reframe Tour lands itself in Chattanooga this weekend, November 8th. We’ll be at Mission Chattanooga. Their website is www.MissionChattanooga.org and you can get their service times. They have several services there and directions. And then next week we will end our Reframe touring for the year in San Diego. That will be (let me grab my calendar here) November 15th and we will be at La Jolla Christian Fellowship. Their website is www.ChurchatLaJolla.org so you can get your directions and service times there. Looking forward to seeing you on the road.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at www.DailyAudioBible.com. There is a link in the upper right-hand corner. Thank you profoundly for being a life-giving source to the community that we all enjoy each and every day. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

And that is it for today. I'm Brian. I love you and I will be waiting for you here, tomorrow.

Community Prayer Request and Praise Reports

Hello Dabbers. This is Sudie from the Valley. This is my 4th call. Today is Tuesday, November 2. I'm sorry, Monday, November 2 and yesterday, November 1 marked my first year DAB anniversary, so I just wanted to call and tell all of you how much I love this program, how much I have matured in my faith walk. I’ve never been in the Word like I have been since I started listening to this on a daily basis and I'm studying the Bible even outside of listening to DAB. So I just wanted to thank Brian, Jill, China, SarahJane, and everyone else at the Daily Audio Bible family along with all the people who listen, who pray, who call in, who just listen and offer up their own prayers. I thank you. I am so appreciative of everyone. I listen daily. I lift up the people who call in their prayers and I also lift up the people who just listen but don’t call in who have needs. God knows your names and I pray for you. I love all of you. Thank you so much for this gift. Bye.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. It's James, the teacher in L.A. I'm gonna do this quick. It is the 2nd of November, listening this morning on my way to work to Blessed Like Me talking about his cousin and the encounter with that demonic spirit that just has to leave because of the authority of Jesus, but he is given to us because, like it says in Ephesians 2, we are seated in the heavenly realms with Christ and Christ is seated there with God. Brothers and sisters, if that doesn’t reframe your reality, I don’t know what will. I’ll tell you, I’ve had those experiences too and, brother, it is awesome. It is such a pleasure to hear you share that. Thank you for the encouragement. I pray that the enemy has no power to come against you and rock you to try to take revenge. I just speak against that in the name of Jesus and speak health and wholeness over you. Family, love you guys. Pray for me. My wife is due officially in 3 days and that just kind of blows my mind. Yeah, hopefully the next time I call you, my baby is going to be gurgling in the background. Anyway, love you guys and I hope to talk to you soon. Bye-bye.

Hi. Good morning. I'm calling for prayers for my daughter. She had a death in her family, her father died, and while she is waiting to bury him, her grandmother died. So it is 2 people to be buried in the space of 1 week, so I'm asking that we can pray for her. Dear Father, I just want to thank you for my daughter. I'm thanking you, Father, because you know best. You are the all wise God and you are able, O God, to carry her even in this time. I pray, O God, that your Holy Spirit would reach out to her and draw her nigh to you so that she can trust you there, Father. Lord, she has to travel so many distance away to bury one or the other of her __________, and Lord Father, I know that it hurts so much. I pray you loose that knot in her heart, that pain so much, O God, when you have to go through the grieving. But my God, you said you will carry her when she can’t carry herself. So God, I just want to thank you that you, O God, know how to keep her. I pray, God, that she makes her decisions, that you would give her clarification of mind, clarification of heart, clarification, O God, to be able to go wherever she has to go and do what she has to do, O God, that you will surround her with your protection and your ministering angels. And I thank you, Father, because we have so many praying saints around the world and we know that you said that when we send up our prayers with sincere hearts, that you would hear and you would answer, O God. Keep her, O God, so that she can be strong. Lord, she has been through so much and she still has to study, so God, I pray that you would intervene and you would give her the strength she needs, you would surround her, O God, with love and…

Good morning, DAB family. This is Paula calling from Albuquerque. Good morning. It's Monday morning, November 2nd. Wanted to call in a couple of praise reports. First of all, for my nephew, I called a little over a year ago. I had a nephew that had lymphoma. When he finished his treatment they told him he might not be able to have children. Well, he and his fiancée are expecting and so they have moved up the wedding to next month from June, which is great too, so would you please keep Gabe and Bonnie and their unborn baby in prayer? Then for the police officer that was shot here, he went home to be with the Lord on Thursday or Friday. So would you please keep that family in prayer? His wife is also in law enforcement here, so would you also keep her in prayer? The city has really come behind them and the funeral will be this week at our convention center. Thank you for the prayers there. For the little girl that was murdered in the road rage incident here, please continue to keep that family in prayer. For my girlfriend Rebecca who is dealing with a brain tumor again, she has her port in and she is getting treatment. Please keep her in prayer as well. For my son and my daughter-in-law that continue to go down the wrong path and do crazy things, for all of us that are going through that, I lift up them and I ask you guys to focus on Isaiah 40:31 which tells us that we will mount up with wings of eagles. Help us to remember that as we are going through these tough times.

Hi DAB family. This is Susan in Florida. A year ago I called to ask you to pray for my friend Eunice from Liberia. She had been going to dialysis for her kidneys 3 times a week and couldn’t travel back to Africa where her husband has started a Christian school and orphanage. Well, she is finally at the top of the list to receive a kidney and, in fact, she is scheduled for surgery on Friday, November 5th to receive a kidney from a live donor. Would you join me in praying for Eunice and the donor? Dear Lord, thank you for your power and goodness in healing Eunice from lupus earlier. Thank you for the dialysis that has kept her alive. Thank you, Lord, for the donor who would give up one of their kidneys to someone in need. We pray for long life and good health for this donor and for every spiritual blessing. O Lord, we pray that even now you would work in Eunice's body and the donor's body to make this kidney a perfect match for Eunice. We know you're able to do all things. Thank you, Lord, for the wisdom and skill you’ve given to the doctors. We pray that there will be no complications so that everything will go smoothly for both Eunice and the donor and that they will both have a speedy recovery. And then, Lord, I pray that you would bless her family's ministry and go ahead of them as they prepare to return to Liberia. O Lord, be glorified as they work for your kingdom. We pray these things in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
