Ezekiel 24:1-26:21 ~ Hebrews 11:1-16 ~ Psalm 110:1-7 ~ Proverbs 27:14

Today is the 12th of November. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. Great to be here with you today just like it is great to be here with you every day. Every day we do this. Every day we come together around the Bible and invite God to speak to us through it. That is a beautiful thing that we do here. So it is another beautiful day for us. We’re reading from the New Living Translation this week.

Prayer

Father, we thank you for your Word because your Word builds within us faith and, as we read in the book of Hebrews, faith is the igniter. Faith is the thing that we need to have to please you, which means we have to be able to see beyond what we can see and hope beyond what we can hope. This is accomplished through faith and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. So we thank you for this gift that enables us to walk in a pleasing way before you, to walk in intimacy with you, to live our lives in collaboration with you, to be in a relationship that is real and alive with you. So once again, as we do on most days, we thank you for the gift of your Word and the beautiful gift of community, a family of believers who may never meet each other in person, but have a kinship, kinship in the faith, kinship in relationship to you, kinship because we are your family and we are brothers and sisters. We thank you for these beautiful gifts that you have given us to journey through this life together. Come Holy Spirit. Plant the words of the scriptures deep in our lives at the level of our identity, bringing about the work of sanctification, of day by day, step by step setting us apart as holy. This is what we desire because this is what we were created for. So come Jesus, we pray in your mighty name, amen.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports

Good morning Daily Audio Bible. Rick from Massachusetts. Thank you, Brian and Jill and all the Daily Audio Bible team for everything you do, keeping faithful, reading God's Word to us every day. Thanks for this awesome forum. I wanted to call in. It's November 8th. There was a guy named Su from Maine, I think it was. He had called in about a brain injury, I guess, that goes back 20 years and about anxiety. Just wanted to say Philippians 4:6, actually Philippians 4 is just all about anxiety, but 4:6 in The Message goes “don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.” Before you know it the sense of God's wholeness, everything that comes together for good will come and fill you up. It’s wonderful what happens when praise replaces worry at the center of your life. Also 2 Timothy 1:7 says “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.” Stay focused on the Word, man. That is the key. It's rock solid. It is as foundational as it can get. Read His Word. Stay in the Word and that anxiety will drift away. In Jesus’ name, God bless. Anybody with anxiety, that's the key, the way out.

Hi family. This is Shannon from Texas and I need you to help me pray. There is a woman that I’ve met actually at a meeting with some organizations. It wasn’t my meeting. I somehow ended up there. They are trying to take her grandson and place him permanently. He is 7 years old. They want to place him for life actually. I don’t know what would happen to him after he was 18 years old. And he's got some real serious issues going on. He's actually killed one animal and just has some behavioral issues. The main issue is that in our community they like to send them to a place where they really overmedicate these kids. Then they like to try to overmedicate the parents and it is ordered. Like the schools are even able to order for this to happen. She came to see me. It is kind of a coincidence that she ran into me the next day. I had actually given her my phone number just to kind of be able to talk to her because she said she didn’t have anybody to talk to. I prayed, you know, that the Lord will send me His people that are crying out for help anyway because I want to be able to do that. So please just help me pray. She is reaching out to me and I believe that God is above all this and we don’t want this little boy to be sent away because he is a delivering God and he can do all things, so please just help me pray. Thank you, family. I love you.

Hi family. This is Shannon from Texas. I really need your prayers right now. I just sent my own son to jail. He punched me and threw me down on the floor, got really extremely violent. It is actually not the first time. He actually grew up in a pretty rough situation with some domestic violence and we’ve been out of the situation for a year and he's got some major anger issues and he directs them all toward me. And I just found out that he lost his job that he had for a year. My mom witnessed it and she thinks that I did the wrong thing by calling the police. She is a big time enabler and I'm realizing that she might be mentally ill. So I really need your guys’ prayer. I'm just by myself in this. I have a job as a mediator and case manager for victims of domestic violence, so I don’t want this to affect my job. I love you guys. Thank you. Bye-bye.

Family, hi. This is Biola from Maryland. I hope you're all doing well. Brian and Jill, God bless you. Brian, thank you for Reframe. What a challenging, thought-provoking book. I ordered more than one and sent it to my girlfriend in Alabama. She is looking forward to receiving it. Jill, hope you're doing well. God bless you and your family. Sister from Boca Raton, I'm praying that God will touch your son and have mercy on your family. I'm praying that your husband will soon find a good job, in the name of Jesus, and your son will be delivered from every kind of drug addiction. O dear God, I pray, O God, that you will have mercy upon this family. I cancel every plan and attack of the devil against your family, in the name of Jesus. Sister, keep holding on. Keep holding on. The Lord is there for you. Richard, I'm praying that God will put a hunger in you for him, that out of deep love for God and not obligation you will pursue God. You will spend time in His Word. You will talk to him in prayer, in the name of Jesus. I am praying also that God's will would be done in your life concerning your church and God would provide a man of God to shepherd that local body, in Jesus’ name. I'm praying for your two sons, brother, that God would draw them back to him and have them live for him, that they will have favor with their mom and stepdad, in the name of Jesus. James from Japan, I'm praying for clarity and direction for you and your wife, that there will be no doubt as to how the Lord is leading you both in this season of your life, in Jesus’ name. Kim from California, I did pray for your fiancé, sister. I thank God that he doesn’t really have much injuries and I admire his commitment to his patients, but I would encourage you to impress upon him the importance of taking care of himself as well. I pray that God will make a way concerning transportation and His will would be done in your fiancé’s life, in the name of Jesus. Asia from Munich, shout-out to you sister. God bless you. Blind Tony, got your message, will respond to you.

Hello there, Daily Audio Bible community. This is Richard M. in Canada with a praise report because God protected me. We were installing some panels there for the winter on the dump truck and while my boss was turning his tool there, the ratchet flew so it could have hit my head. It flew like 60 feet and could have hit my head and God protected me. I just want to praise God for that. I want to praise God also for the day off I had. It was good to rest and listen to the Bible reading and listen to the teaching of Dr. Charles Stanley and Ravi Zacharias. Anyways, I hear your prayers, everybody, and I would like to say that I'm very, very pleased. So let's just pray. Lord, I want to praise you and I want to thank you for this community. I want to pray for my family, that they will be closer to God and that you can bring my sons, David and Matthew, to follow Jesus as I am walking faithfully in your path now. I'm back with you. I'm so happy, Lord. Everything is going good. You're supplying all my needs and I'm finding out more and more day by day that I can trust you in everything in my life. So I just want to praise you and say thank you and keep blessing all these people that are sending those prayer requests and give them the faith and the courage that you're giving to all of us. You are working, Lord. Hallelujah. You are working into our communities, into our homes and keeping us together, Lord. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
