Today is November 13th. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian and it’s great to be here with you today. I’m a little tired today, but thankfully I’ve got some coffee right here and we will move into our time in the scriptures. So, this whole week we’ve been reading from the New Living Translation, which is what we’ll do for the remainder of the week.
Prayer
Father, we thank you for your Word and even as we walk through the book of Hebrews and kind of down the hallway of faith here, we see encapsulated in each of these stories and each of these names people who had hoped for something more but couldn’t see it at all. But they had faith that it would be. And this is what we ask from you, that you come, Holy Spirit, and increase our faith as we walk in relationship with you, that we would begin this transition, that we have hope, that we have faith beyond where we are, beyond what we can see because we are by your side and we have hope and we have faith in you. But more than that, we have a relationship with you. We know you. You know us and as we walk together our faith increases, and we pray that this continues until it looks like what we read in the scriptures. We don’t fear what’s right in front of us. There’s more to this story. We don’t fear these things because we are side-by-side with Almighty God and you are leading and directing our paths as we make ourselves present to you and invite your presence. We’re walking together. There is no fear. There is hope. There is faith. So come, Holy Spirit, increase our faith. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports
Hi, this is Cherie from Yuba City, CA. I’m actually not calling from myself today. I’m calling for my mom, Karen. She has been a faithful DAB listener for many years now and she actually encouraged me to start listening and I’m so glad that she did because it’s just been a blessing and it changed my life; but she rarely asks for prayer for herself and I just saw the other day that she posted something on the DAB Friends Facebook page. She lives in Southern California and Brian is going to be in La Jolla speaking about Reframe and she’s so excited to hear him speak. My father has Parkinson’s with dementia added to it. So, she prayed and prayed and finally was granted respite care for him for the week and she was so excited because she would get to go hear Brian speak. And now my dad is refusing respite care. So, just pray for her, family, because she prays for you faithfully every day and this would be just such a blessing for her, a much needed rest. She loves my dad, but she could use a break. So, if you could join with me in praying for her that God will just soften my dad’s heart and that she would get this rest and this chance to hear Brian speak. Thank you so much family. Bye.
Hello Daily Audio Bible family, this is Debbie from Northern California and today is Tuesday, November 10th and it’s my birthday and for the first time in many years, I’m celebrating. I have spent many years being sad on my birthday about growing older and I decided to reframe the way I look at things and to be grateful for the life I’ve lived and the challenges I’ve faced and the trials that I’ve endured. I want to also give a praise report. I, if some of you have listened, I interviewed for job not long ago and I wasn’t too sure about it and they ended up offering it to me and I got a promotion and I started yesterday and I think this is really where God wanted me to land. My staff is warm and welcoming and this is an adventure that I think will work out. I want you all to know that I do pray. I pray for all of you. I pray not only during the podcast but also afterward throughout the day. I pray for people who’ve called in that day. My heart goes out to so many of you and my heart rejoices with so many of you. I’m grateful for this venue, that we have this opportunity to pray and help each other and I’m grateful for all those who ensure that it happens. Remember, especially during the month of November, to have an attitude of gratitude. Blessings to all, amen.
Hello, my name is Muriel. I’m a first time caller from Chicago and I’m calling to seek prayer. I want to pray for my husband. He has requested a divorce and he wants to pursue it and I just wanted to pray that his heart enlightens and that his heart is softened and that he fears nothing towards me. And that I hope that he becomes more warmer and happier so that my kids and I can live more free of fear from him and him feel free from fear from me. Thank you.
Hi Daily Audio Bible, my name is Priscilla. I’m from Colorado. I have two prayer requests. First, for my mom, she’s in Jersey. She does foster care and she has an inspection coming this Friday. Please pray for her. I pray that everything goes well. She’s been really worried and concerned about this inspection. I just pray for God’s favor and that he would move concerning her. Also, I have my son who has a court date on Thursday the 12th. My son has a court date for speeding. It’s not something he does, it’s just something he did and, either way, he got caught and he has to go to court. He was doing 30 over. I’m praying for favor over this situation and thank you, guys. Hello Daily Audio Bible family, this is Sinner Redeemed. I’m a little behind so these are prayers from November 1st. Lord these words you’ve given to me I give back to you. Let’s pray. Responding to Jay of New Jersey, Father God, we stand in agreement with Jay in our prayer for your Holy Spirit to transform our hearts and turn us from anger and malice toward others, from the seduction of the materialistic culture we live in and from our desire for the things of the flesh and the world instead of the things of heaven. Help us to invite you into every aspect of our lives to shine your holy light in all the dark corners, to expose these earthly things for what they are, the things of the world that will burn in the refining fire of judgment. Help us store up treasure in heaven to encourage and build up others, to work for the good of others and not for the advancement of ourselves. Responding to Jocelyn of Atlanta, Heavenly Father, Sovereign Lord, and our Eternal guide, we praise you for your work in the life of Jocelyn’s son Marlon. We ask that you continue to bless her and Marlon by dealing with Marlon’s ADHD through your divine hand. We praise you also for Jocelyn’s grandson Jaden and the removal of his diagnosis of terminal leukodystrophy. We pray that you would restore him and alleviate the symptoms he does have and that you would guide the surgeon’s hands during Jaden’s surgery on November 30th. We pray for a successful surgery and a quick recovery for this child. Heavenly Father, you are our redeemer and restorer. We lift up Pastor Gene of Bradenton, FL. We pray for your presence to be felt in her heart and in her home, that you would continue to guide her, give her wisdom and to grant her peace in her decisions regarding her mother. We pray that forgiveness can be found between these two, that you as the healer of our hearts, would broker reconciliation and transformation in this situation. Bless Pastor Gene, her husband John, their family, and bless Pastor Gene's mother, that this relationship might be restored. We ask all of these things in the mighty name of your Son, Jesus.
