Zechariah 2:1-3:10 ~ Revelation 13:2-18 ~ Psalm 141:1-10 ~ Proverbs 30:18-20

Today is the 22nd of December. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. Great to be here. Like every day, great to be here with you today and wonderful to be spending this Christmas week together. So we’re moving fast. We’re in the book of Zechariah, reading from the Modern English Version this week.

Prayer

Thank you, Lord, for your Word. Father, thank you for another day of life in this, probably one of the most busy weeks of the year with all of the festivities and all of the joy and all of the celebration and all of the other things that go with it and for reason that is good. The whole world stands up and takes note that you came for us, that you came for us! It's become such a tradition now that maybe many around the world don’t observe what is going on here, but the whole world does take note. So we ask, Father, that rather than us getting bowled over by the festivities, that we take note and that through us the world may know that as momentous of a shift has happened in humanity happened when you came, that same momentous shift has happened in our lives and continues to happen in our lives. Holy Spirit, through your power may our very lives be the star that shines over Bethlehem. May our very lives be the announcement of the arrival of the Savior. May we spread this wherever we go, shining the light of the good news of the gospel, that we are saved and that we are redeemed. We ask this in your name, Jesus. You are the one that came for us, so we ask this in your name. May we glorify you. May we honor you in all that we do and say over the next few days. May the world stand up and take note because of the weightiness of our lives, because of the impact of our lives, because we’ve been radically changed because of this day. Come Holy Spirit, we pray, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Community Praise Reports and Prayer Requests

Hello DAB family. This is Kathleen in Mt. Zion, IL, and I just have one Christmas wish, a prayer that I just would love for you guys to pray with me. That is that my son-in-law, Abdel, who is Muslim, that he would come to Jesus, come to know Jesus. It was amazing the other day. My daughter called from Abu Dhabi where they live. Now, she is Christian, but she called from Abu Dhabi where they live and told me that they had watched a film about how Jesus really has much more importance in the Muslim religion than what Mohammed does and it took them through example after example in the Koran where Jesus has much more importance than Mohammed. So that does not mean that they are the step yet where Abdel is understanding that Jesus is actually the son of God, his deity, but it does at least bring Jesus to the forefront. I just pray… And that is true although most Muslims don’t even realize that themselves. So anyway, I pray that they could go a step further. I believe maybe there is somebody over there. I don’t know. I can’t see these two just picking this film up by themselves. Maybe they did, but I'm thinking maybe there is somebody there who is witnessing to them. Anyway, just pray. I pray that this continues. I told you guys I was going to keep praying in until the day my Abdel comes to the Lord. And I'm just going to keep praying and there is progress and thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you, family. God bless you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Hi. Good morning family. I want to pray for a few people this morning. I also want to thank everyone out there who prayed for me. Today is December 15th and I had my shoulder surgery on December 9th and it truly is amazing how God works. This has never happened to me before, but I was in the waiting room with my fiancé and the doctor came in before the surgery and prior to that I had got a little card when I signed in asking if I wanted prayer from the doctor, and when he did come into the room, he said to me, he said, “did you ask for prayer?” And I said, “yes.” So he held my hand and we bowed our heads and he prayed for me before the surgery. It was amazing. I have never had a doctor do that before. I just want to thank the Lord for that. He works in amazing ways. So today I also want to pray for Rob in Nashville. I am continuing to pray for your healing of your body. I also heard the podcast that just broke my heart for Jude that is in the womb right now and doesn’t have a skull, so I am praying for her right now. It just breaks my heart. I also just heard the podcast for Joel. You're a newcomer. I just want to say welcome and, Joel, I am praying for your direction in a new job, that hopefully God will direct you in the direction he wants you to go. I also want to pray for Pelham and Molly. I heard the request. I heard the other day asking where Pelham was and now Pelham's request for prayer. I am praying for all you. Thank you, Brian. Thank you, Jill. Thank you to all of you. I love you all. I'm running out of time. God bless you all. This is Kim from California.

Merry Christmas from Candy in Northern California. I haven’t called in for quite a long time. It's been a very, very busy year, but throughout all the ups and downs I just want you to know that Daily Audio Bible community, I have been listening in the morning and in the night just so that I can concentrate and really pray with you and for you. I thank you so much, all of you who are praying for our wayward children and friends. Wishes for 2016 include, of course, that the Holy Spirit reaches out to all of our family and friends as well as our leaders and keep us safe, dear Lord. Melt the hearts of those who have hardened their hearts against you. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Hello, this is Larry from Nashville, TN. I haven’t called in a while. Sorry for that. I’ve been busy with working. Anyway, I want to call in a couple prayer requests. First of all, everybody that has been calling about divorces and separation with their spouses, I know personally how that is. We had a gentleman come into our life, well, came into my life and changed everything and within six months, my wife decided to put off the divorce and then a month later after that we reconciled and got our marriage back on track again. It may take something like that. I would trust in God, for sure, but I want all of us to lift everybody up, all marriages that are going through that right now, especially this time of year, the final season. A special prayer for everybody who has an empty chair this year at their table. We’re one of them. We lost a little brother last year in August, 26 years old. So, yeah, it's a hard thing to go through, to deal with when that happens. I also want to say a prayer for my mom. She decided…she is 73 years old…she has had rotator cuff surgery on one arm. She has to heal from that pretty much and do her other arm, heal from that, and do her knee. She has quite a bit of surgery to do next year and being at her age, it is going to be kind of tough for her heal from that. I want to also thank Brian and his family for doing this and for Brian being obedient to God and for listening to him. Sometimes so much we want to do our own thing, but thank you, Brian, for what you’ve done. I want to thank all of the prayer warriors out there. There are too many to name. I love hearing you guys, especially the prayer requests. That is what touches me the most at the very end. It is good to hear that, when you hear a prayer that has been answered. Thank you, guys. Love you. Bye.

Hello Daily Audio Bible family. This is Sinner Redeemed. Lord, these words you have given to me I give back to you. Let's pray. Responding to Maria of Florida, Heavenly Father, we lift up Maria's daughter who is enduring chemotherapy. We pray for your healing touch to be upon her daughter, that you would restore her body and remove any trace of cancer. Responding to Pamela, the pastor's wife of Huntington, Father, we lift up Walby who has hit his had and now is not waking up. We pray for healing for Walby, that you would lift him up from this state and restore him to his family and loved ones. Almighty God, we lift up Richard from Montreal. We pray for the Holy Spirit's work in Richard's heart, to give him the discipline and desire to attend worship and experience fellowship with other believers. We pray also for Isabel and her two daughters, that you would lead them to a relationship with your son, Jesus. Give Richard the opportunities to proclaim your Word, to be a vessel for the love of Christ to these women. Lord, we pray for healing for Richard’s heart, that you would give him hope and the courage to stand on his own in faith as he awaits your perfect timing for his life. Responding to Dee of Arizona, Healing Lord, we lift up Dee's daughter-in-law's mother. We pray for her surgery, that it would be successful and that she would recover quickly. We pray for the time ahead, that she would be restored and would be able to walk again. We ask for your blessing on this woman's life. Heavenly Father, we lift up James of Arkansas. We pray for clarity for James, that you would make your will clearly known to him. We pray for direction and that you would pave the way for James, that you would make his path straight and remove obstacles that James might know where to follow your divine lead. Heavenly Father, our Strong Tower, we lift up Alicia. We pray that you would grant her strength, will and stamina to fulfill the calling you have placed upon her life. Give her grace, wisdom, and joy as she runs her race with endurance. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.

Hi family. This is Jennifer from Tacoma, WA and I felt prompted to call in today. There are some people that God has put on my heart that I’ve been praying for the last four to six weeks or so and haven’t really called in and felt that I needed to do so. So Tyler from Massachusetts, you called the middle of October and you mentioned that you are a new believer that has been under attack. I’ve been praying that God will strengthen you and give you wisdom and that you are able to deal with the battles at hand but then also give guidance as you guide your family, your son and your fiancée. Casey from Calgary, you called in at the end of October and you felt overwhelmed and exhausted. You're going to school and mentioned you were estranged from your four kids. I, too, have been praying for you and praying that God would strengthen you, that he would guide you, that he would give you peace, and that he would also bring healing and restoration to your family. Antalya Sofia, you called in also looking for clarity and direction from God in regard to going to Turkey with YWAM this coming January in light of the recent diagnosis of Lyme disease. I'm praying for wisdom for you. It was a pleasure to meet you at the women's conference this past year and know that you have been on my heart and I pray that God would just give you a clear picture of where he would have you serve him, whether that is here in the States or if it is in Turkey. Blessings to you all and thank you.
