Hey guys, want to share an update on this. It's amazing how God keeps developing this.
The Healthcare system I work for has 6 hospitals. The hospital in the area I work in has a full children's hospital (Children's Hospital of Illinois). In the past every time I walked by the entrance of it I would be overcome with emotion and begin to weep. I knew God was doing something in my heart and I was going to do something in the future with it... Enter the mp3 idea and DABK.

I have begun the process and hope to distribute at least 20 mp3s with DABK on it by Thanksgiving! I've already had two co-workers approach me separately saying they want to contribute financially to help purchase the mp3 players!!

Brian, I know you said this is cool with the regular DAB podcasts. Does the same thing apply for all DAB podcasts?

This is incredible! And more ways for God's Word to reach the ends of the earth.....

Maybe someday these preloaded MP3's will be in the DAB store....I know this is so much work...but wow...we could be buying them for near to nothing and still supporting the DAB reaching the world. This is just the beginning.....they could be preloaded in all the languages. And then along with the booklets on how to come to Christ we are handing the person the Word of God. We could have some with just the book of John for new believers.......Proverbs alone would be life changing. How about DABK for all those children in Hospitals...the list just goes on and on.......

God is moving...all the time! He is so good!

Well here is another one....

Today at church I talked to my counselor who helped me begin the restoration of my relationship with Jesus as the solution to my alcoholism. I discovered the DAB upon her advice to read some Christian material and of course the Bible. I turned to audiobooks then found the DAB podcast.

I had some of the DAB postcards in my Bible and gave her one. (BTW, 50 free postcards in the store while supplies last!) I told her that I want to meet with her to discuss an idea.

I would like her to keep a few "DAB loaded MP3's" in her possession. If the occasion arises and she senses the Lord's leading, she will have the DAB MP3 ready to present as a gift to a client. She is a super busy Christian counselor considering the fact that we are in a small farming community. I know she is at the "point of impact" when God is needed most.

The last set of MP3 players I bought are PINK! I really didn't want to buy pink ones, but now I know why I had to. My counselor meets with many young women who are in terrible pain and troubles. I'm certain a pink MP3's will find it's way to one of these girls.

Continue praying for the DAB ministry in this capacity and the ministry of Christian counselors everywhere. This is the place I went on July 8th...

BTW... I am listening to the June 2009 podcasts now and hearing about the "Long Walk" on July 7th. I am reminded of what you guys were doing while I was searching for help. Someone must have prayed for me that day - thank you!

Absolutely Incredible Craig! Absolutely incredible. Everything you wrote spoke to my heart. Glad you've been restored to Jesus, glad you found the DAB, and glad you are reaching out to others. You're a huge blessing man. So glad you're here!

UPDATE....

I loaded up three Pink MP3 players with 3 months worth of DAB (January, Feb. & March 2009), charged them up and packaged them with an official DAB postcard stuffed inside.

I called my counselor to see when I could come in again, thinking maybe days from now. She said someone cancelled this afternoon and the slot was opened for me.

We had a lengthy discussion of what the DAB, the Wind Farm and these forums have done to bring me in a restored relationship with Jesus. Then I presented her with two MP3 players, ready to be used in her ministry. I noticed that her expression changed and then she explained.

Tomorrow, a woman she has been counseling for a while will be coming in for another session. This woman has deep emotional trama and has been seeking peace through the Bible, but she has a learning disability that keeps her from reading the Bible and comprehending the scriptures.

She is certain that the Bible in audible form will be exactly what she is searching for. I also hope this woman will find us here too. Who knows; we may have a new friend in our community in the next few days!!!

I just got a call from my counselor. She gave the young lady the MP3 player and told her what was loaded on it. The lady cried and described her desperate need to read the Bible.

This is an answer to prayer on several levels and a confirmation that the DAB ministry can reinforce other ministries out there!
