DAB TEEN/ TEEN FORUM?

i realize that there is a kids DAB and such but as a 16 year old i sometimes would like some other pubescent humanoids to speak with.
yah, i got a little sciencey
maybe i'm the only teen on this site?
maybe not?
but i think it would be cool to at least have a teen section :)

I don't think you're the only one. In fact I know you're not. So here's the deal. All pubescent humanoids rise up and respond here and if there's enough to make a forum we'll do it. I KNOW there are enough of you in the DAB community at large I just don't know if there are enough of you that will hang on the forums. Speak up!

If there seems to be enough actual teen interest we'll do this. I know there are a lot of teens here at the DAB I just don't know that they are on the forums as much. I know the teens here participate in the general conversations but lets see if there is enough interest in an actual teen forum.

Bella! I'm 16 too! and by the way....puberty....awkward word and awkward phase. :) but that's ok teenagers are awkward a lot anyways.

I'm wondering if this is one of those "which came first, the chicken or the egg" scenarios.
It could be that there hasn't been much response from the DAB teens because they came to the forums...didn't find anything that "spoke" to them here...and so just never bothered to return. Or it could be that they're just not interested in having a Teens Forum.
May I make a tentative suggestion? Although I know that teens are often times volatile, insecure, self-centered in a lot of ways, easily misunderstood, and easily mistaken, and that having a forum specifically for them could possibly be opening a huge can of worms (I love you guys! Really! I do!!! It's just that I've had 5 teenagers, and 7 if you count my niece (who is the daughter I never had) and my best friend's daughter who refers to me as her "girly mom", plus I remember being a teenager myself!), could we start one and see how it goes? If there's no activity or interest, or it turns into a huge mess of hurt feelings and raging hormones, then it can be removed.
I have an abundance of faith in our teens, though (specifically because of those who have posted here, already) and have a feeling that if a forum is started specifically for them, amazing things can and will happen!
Just a thought...

We just changed the college forums to include high schoolers as well. Faith is heading up a teen forum within that category. We'll see how it goes!

This is great. My daughter is 14 and was to old for kids DAB and needed something for those her age. She will be happy !!
