How to do your best in the midst of non-born-again people?
I am so blessed to have found this web community, I don’t know anyone of you but it really makes me feel the same purpose is shared among all. Brian’s heart and mission has to do with it (and to the H.S.) his testimonies, meditations, and particularly today’s meditation on the reading draws my heart closer to the Word.
Thank you Brian for listening to God’s voice as a faithful servant you are.
I was born again 10+ years ago, at the age of 35 (female, divorced with no children), but someday, at some point along the road I heard the message “you are the same as you’ve always been, and your speech will always be overshadowed by a better one”. It was easy to disregard this thought while living surrounded by Christian people and having a peaceful comfortable live; now it’s different. Going through a hardship and being surrounded by Catholics and non-godly people at work, family and culture makes the awful message comes alive. This road feels lonely. Brian’s preaching on The Solitary Walk was so powerful and convicting, although after listening to it twice, I got up, opened the door of the cage, looked around again, and closed it again (me inside). One thing I know: I do not overlook the sovereignty of God.
My question to you is: Taking into account the knowledge acquired through Bible studies, readings, listening to preachers, etc. on prayer, spiritual warfare, communion with God, praise, pressing on, faith, etc. – seems like a spiritual bubble-, and understanding that there are a multitude of factors to take into consideration, what do you think is the best approach to reaching God’s purpose and will, and especially (like Brian does) following God’s voice with joy?
GBY always! Aida.
p.s. for Brian: As an ESL gal I dare to say that your reading and speaking skills are SU-PERB!

I think its just allowing God to rule our lives moment by moment, decision by decision.

To me it isn't just knowledge aquired through all the means you mentioned, it is the simple depth of the time spent WITH Him, not time spent ABOUT Him. There is a difference.

Just think, Estrellita, you are surrounded by Catholics even here on this board.
