Troy, I can agree with you. There were times when I was facing very difficult challenges, and I begin to look at the situation and not God. I tried to fix it on my own understanding and made things worse. We all have to remember to completely trust God. There is nothing to hard for our God to work out. We also have to keep in mind that God's ways is not our ways and his thoughts is not our thoughts.

I appreciate this conversation. I've been pondering what it actually looks like to trust God in my life. I find that it has a lot to do with other people. I feel like the more I share what I believe God is leading me to do in my life with a trusted person the more the sense of trust in God's direction increases. It's when I keep it to myself and think I've got this sorted out that I end of being stuck. Anyone else have this experience?

Hi dcplayback, I am new to Daily Bible Audio. Nice to meet you and everyone. I agree with you. When the christians share the faith, we are building one another up. This is how we gain strength in our walk with christ.

I've had some health issues since Thanksgiving(11/10)and it is Jan.2011 and issues not solved yet. Seems like one delay after another to solve it. I do trust the Lord to heal me--but haven't known what path to take for it. A scheduled procedure for 1/10/11 may be the solution, however, Texas weather could hinder getting to the appointment. Another delay? For the past 35 years the Lord has from time to time given me Proverbs 3:5(and 6). So again as I read this on this page I am reminded His plan for me goes on and to not try to figure it out for myself, but trust Him in all of this.

Hi you all, Troy I think alot of people pray for God to take control but they don't really let go and let him take control. I sit in the same situation as Elaine not with health issue but in trusting Him because He said I must and I think but I want it done now. Then the Word says that his timing is not our timing and I say Yeah it is faster, then why am I still waiting. Sounds arrogant! well I do question God on some of these things like you have. Smith Wiggelsworth said in one of his books that it is easy to be a Christian you must just believe and I think "is that it", that is not difficult but it is and it is because we listen to the World too much. One thing which scares me (lack of a better word to describe) but it scares me that that verse was not asking us to trust in Him it is INSTRUCTING US TO TRUST IN THE LORD AND LEAN NOT UNTO YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING..... it is not a decision you must make You must just do it.... and i don't believe God would have told us to do something if He know we couldn't do. Disappointment in people have caused us to not trust and unfortunately we include God in the equation. And we are only disappointed because 1. We don't know how God operates, we don't know Him well enough 2. we did not get our way. So we think it is impossible. But if He says Trust then I don't see any choice given there. Total surrender. What do you think.?

PS I enjoy your thought pattern though it really make one think deeper to why we don't do what the Word says.
Elaine May God meet you at your place of need right now, and May He carry you through this and that you will see the Hand of God. Remember Peter, had to see the nailed pinned hands before he believed, and Jesus still showed him. Even if we ask God to prove something I believe he is no respector of persons he can do to you what he did to Peter.
