I hope you find Lindsey an encouragement: http://vimeo.com/3312951 The video puts a face on the kids for us non-teachers.

Thankful for Friday. Thankful for the opportunity to touch lives today with God's love. Thankful for the grace he has placed within me to continue to love being with the kids. It is truly by his grace and yet, there is joy in the midst of the turmoil and even struggles in the lives of my students. My biggest prayer is that I do treat my students with the love and discipline that they need, as each student is unique. I pray that I will be enabled to shine Christ's love, even though I may not speak of him in the public schools. All heaven and hell knows the truth and God's word is true.

Very nicely put Lisa! Praying for you on this Friday.

On a side note, we have a SNOW DAY here! In Austin Texas! This never happens... To say that I'm giddy is an understatement. And what's best is that we don't have to make it up on Good Friday like I thought. We'll have to make it up in May though... But it's all good.

To all my fellow teachers, have a blessed day! Know that you make a difference and what you do and say matters. <3 Jenna

Thanks, Ray, for sharing that video. Thanks, Lisa for your words. I'm trying to focus on thankfulness during school these days to combat all the forces trying to put me and students down. Thank you, God, for all the times when things are hard, when you teach me and when you can work your grace.

Rest up this weekend, teachers!

Here we go again! It sure is hard to get back to the grind after a rare snow day induced three day weekend... I'm praying and thinking about all of you today!

Love, Jenna

So funny, those were the exact words that went through my head as I clicked on this thread. May God be with us as we endeavor to share his love this day with his precious children.

Amen Sisters and Brothers.. Lord help us to allow You to pour through us in our classrooms, we give You our rooms, our learning communities and our students so that You can reach them Lord. We ask for our hearts to be open to the Holy Spirit amidst the politics and requirements of the day. I pray for strength Lord, that You would be our strength...Protect our buildings, put Your Armies of Angels on the corners of our buildings. Lord we pray for our students to be caught, Lord, caught so that they can walk into the life You have for them...

Lord thank you so much for the support here, I just pray a blessing over all the teachers here and Ray..thank You Lord for Ray...thank you for his spirit of encouragement for us...We pray all this in Your Name...Amen...

Hello -

I have 26 3rd graders here in Alaska, and they are a handful. It is hard to come to work, and yet today
I see that the sun is coming up earlier over the mountains, spring break(well, that's what it's called, even though spring won't arrive until mid-April) is just one week away, and God is good. I need to remember that, that God is good, and that He is the only good...he's my healer, my only healer.

I see people writing about technology. We got Promethean boards last year. I guess I'm an 'old dog,'
it's so hard for me to use it...I actually haven't this year. But I'm taking a class next week to try to
learn how to use it effectively in my classroom. Technology changes are hard for me...not as
flexible as I used to be.
