Revelation 20: 14-15 Question
"14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire."

I have been struggling to figure this out. I have read in certain interpretations that "the second death" is the death of death. In other words, death is no more... God destroys hell. I have always had the mentality that hell is eternal. I am confused on the controversing views. Anyone care to clear to share their thoughts? Thank you so much.

Good luck. This could go on for a while...
it depends. God knows the meanings, and I'm sure every one of us is wrong about our interpretation. Just like everyone was wrong about the messiah.
Even so, eschatology can be a decent hobby.

Hi Kayla

Revelation (20:10-15) is the final Judgement. To understand this you need two things.

1 You must understand (Revelation 19:6)
2 You must recognize that hell and the lake of fire are two separate things.

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. (Revelation 19:6KJV)

Kayla God is omnipotent and omnipresent; the only power and presence.

By believing in good and evil or a power and presence other than God, Adam brought hell, the devil and death into our experience.

When we are returned to the Truth; when “the Lord God omnipotent reigneth” (Revelation 19:6) then these things the devil, the false prophet and hell together with those whose name are not found in the book of life will be tossed in the lake of fire to be destroyed.

The false prophet represents all the religious confusion that continue to lead us further astray.

"Ye must be born again!"

God Himself in the person of His son Jesus Christ came to reveal the truth. He came to reveal His spirit “as the only everlasting part” of our being. Anyone who has not accepted the spirit as the third part their being is therefore condemning them self, and their name will not be found in the book of life.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18KJV)

so, believing in evil is evil?
