Bible Questions and Spiritual Discussion

what if?
What if everything we ever learned about God was wrong?

Would we go to hell for being wrong?

What if we ARE in hell, and things can only get better from here?

No unreasonable fears?

No terror in our sin?

Grieved, but not condemned?

What if God casts the holy relics into a lake of fire,

but lifts every holy man to his paradise?

What if every scholar is wrong?

What if no musician could hold a candle to the beauty of his angelic choir?

If it doesn't matter what you think is true, only where your heart is elevated?

If our duty isn't so burdensome as we think?

If God scoffed at the mightiest assembly of theologians' words and minds just as he scoffed at Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar?

If Elihu were Jesus,

And we should beckon to his and The LORD's words answering the charges against the Almighty?

If he actively supported this saying:

'That might work for you,

but that don't work for me'?

Does God's love, wisdom, intelligence and understanding not shame...

...every church and pastor?

How deep should the word 'Humility' affect us, and our presumptions?

What if?

Proverbs 3:5-6
God gave us the ability to choose. There are many options in life and I found to choose and live the word of God is comforting, healing and encouraging.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

You've asked some very profound questions here, James. Poetic questioning! I hope what you have said here calls each of us into silent pondering, and then seeking, asking, knocking. In the pondering stage.... Thank you for the honesty and integrity of your questions.

What if we give place to the devil.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if we figured out how we do.

Eph. 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

yes, but on either side of the church are people who insist the opposite side has given way to the devil, and are fully prepared to give lengthy arguments from scripture on how the 'opposite side' are giving way to the devil.

What If it has nothing to do with either side of the church and everything to do with our personal relationship with God.

What if in our quest for the Truth we must be willing to stand on our own if we have to.

2 Cor. 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2 Cor. 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
