Bible Questions and Spiritual Discussion

“The Abomination of Desolation”
The conditions in the earth so far for this and recent years are unprecedented. Earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, other weather anomalies, social unrest and economic conditions that continue to deteriorate. The question we need to ask ourselves now;

Is this just a rough patch from which the earth will soon recover or is this the beginning of the great tribulation that the scriptures has warned us will come?

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21KJV)

Recently many were misled into believing that May 21st would have been the day of the coming of the Lord. This occurred because many of us prefer to listen to the voice of men instead of the voice of the Lord.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. (Matthew 24:23KJV)

Many shall be misled.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matthew 24:24KJV)

And many shall continue with their business as usual.

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:37-39KJV)

But the followers of our Lord Jesus Christ; “His disciples” shall take heed to His word.

Using the parable of the fig tree He said:

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. (Matthew 24:32-33KJV)

Those who take heed of His word will know the signs that will announce His coming.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. (Matthew 24:42-44KJV)

Jesus has commanded that when we see the desolation of that which was an abomination in the earth then we must stand in the holy place.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: ) (Matthew 24:15KJV)

“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.” (Revelation 22:7KJV)

Those who heed the sayings of the book of Revelation know this abomination and when they shall see her desolation or destruction they will know that the time is immediate.

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Revelation 17:5KJV)
