New to DAB Waiting on God For Renewed Strength and His Restoration

Hi,
I Just found out DAB today from a counselling center and I am glad i am checked it out!! I have been christian from the age of seven years old, I have gone through a lot of hardship and currently experiencing some. I have seen God work miracles in different situations, so i am doing my best to trust him now. I am having a trying time in reading God's word so I am looking forward to finding other supports to help me do that and to seek God to seek his Face.

Welcome Cynthia! I found the DAB community last year and it has been such a source of comfort during my tough times. I sometimes listen more than once a day, just to feel the arms of God around me, and to get my eyes off my own problems for awhile. I hope you know you're not alone here, and that we're glad to journey through God's word together.

Welcome Sister Cynthia! We have something in common I accepted the Lord at age 7 also and I am 60 yrs old now. So I can relate to the ups and downs of the "narrow way". Although I did have a time of severe backsliding. As God's word says "I am forever married to the backsliders" and I am living proof of that. I rebelled against my Christian upbringing and just about did everything they taught me not to do for about 15 years. But as you said I have seen the Lord work miracles and can testify that when He says He will never leave you or forsake you He means it!
He has been there for me in jails and insane asylums and rehab centers as I suffered through the consequences of my wayward life.
So welcome to a new adventure in Christ and His Word! Brian is a gentle loving man of God and I know you can place all your trust and confidence in him and in the Lord.
I hope you can check out the FourWinds Mission service on Sunday's at www.justin.tv/fourwindsmission . They aren't having a service today but tonight at 6pm CST there will be what they call the EvenSong service.
Keep trusting Him Sister He loves us more than we know.

Cynthia, you'd written "I am looking forward to finding other supports to help me do that and to seek God to seek his Face," perhaps I can share with you something which will give an illustration of what DAB can be like.
There are many DABers here who are like you; ones who are also looking for this same sort of thing you're describing. They each bring their own unique "self" to this community; their backgrounds, their current lives, their strengths and their imperfections. Yet they each have a "voice" to share through the written words they offer from their thoughts of studying God's Word. Each one is then able to come closer together into the DAB family; each of one of us distinct, but part of a whole.

Thankyou for all your prayers, "studying God's word" I am feeling really challenged recently in getting into God's word, and I so desire too get into his truth especially with what I am going through part of my struggles is the depression and anxiety i am going through currently. I am feeling at a loss with what is going on around in my family and I know in God I am victor and not victim. Those were words given to me about a month ago. God's many blessing to all tonight
