Bible Questions and Spiritual Discussion

Waiting
The lord of Heaven and Earth has answered a question I’ve had on my mind. “Death” and if there is a period of time before we are judged and sent to whom we lived for?
He has told me time is of this world only. There is time for you when you were born into this world, but no time for you when you die. Your time and Earthly body die together.
Your new life or death is without time. Yes when your Earthly body passes it will seem to you, in an instance you will be raised and judge (On the same day as everyone else) and sent to be in the light or to be in the dark with no end.
So when you are raised are you raised alone? No, we all will be harvested at the same time “judgment Day”
“Weeds and grain will be sorted. Grain will be kept and weeds will be burned.”
So.. Getting back to the original question “Do we wait?” Yes we, who walk now with or without understanding, wait. Those who have passed you could think of them as asleep as we are alive, but when we pass we will not sense the time that has passed until Judgment day. For there will be one Judgment Day for all.
In this is understanding of when Jesus says “I will come as a thief in the night”. It’s impossible for anyone to know when the last day will be.

Interesting. I'd love to see the reference Scriptures behind your thoughts.

1 Timothy 3:14-7 NASB, "You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."

I have a different view of the judgment. I believe that when we die we receive what could be called our "Particular" judgment. At that moment our personal destination is sealed, and we are either saved or lost. And finally at the end of the world, all receive together what could be called the "General" judgment. The purpose of this judgment is so that we can see the good fruit of obeying God as well as the bad fruit of disobeying God, and all of the implications of our acts through the centuries, and see how God was both merciful in his help for all and just in his judgments for all.

I think the evidence we can see against that "one judgment" at the end of time comes from the book of revelation, where we hear the souls under the altar crying out to God "how long?" If they were sleeping, in the strict sense, they would not be able to ask God this because they would not be active before the end of the world. Also we hear of Samuel being (angrily) called up from the ground in the OT. We hear about the bosom of Abraham and Lazarus going there, which the rich man was in torment. While the rich man was in torment, he was aware that his brothers were still alive and walking around. We also hear about Jesus "descending to the dead" to "preach to the spirits in prison".

If when people die they await just one judgment, then they truly have to sleep and would be aware of nothing, nor would they be sent to a place of torment or to heaven in the meantime, nor could they query God, nor could they ask for help for their brothers, nor could they "awaken" as Samuel did, nor could they receive Jesus' preaching.

Anyway, that's my reasoning about the question. :-)
