One of my Christmas gifts was a certificate to itunes, and I used part of it to buy Brian's Passages in audiobook form. This is not the sort of book I usually read, but something inside me told me that I would benefit from it. Over the holidays I listened to the book twice, but all it took was the first time to get me inspired to become part of the Daily Audio Bible community. Listening to someone read the Bible makes all the difference for me, because when I read by myself my own thoughts and doubts often clutter up the experience--but hearing someone else read brings God's word alive in a way I never imagined. With God's help I hope to make it through the whole Bible in a year, but more importantly, I hope to more clearly hear God's voice speaking to me.
