Frank,

Tom wrote this phrase, "some past agreement you've still got lingering around..." This has some significant background and might be somewhat DAB lingo. Do you know to what to Tom refers here? Here's a glimpse: http://blog.ransomedheart.com/john/2009/01/those-sneaky-agreements.html Here find: Q&A Breaking Agreements, also: http://beta.castroller.com/Podcasts/JohnEldredgeAnd/2752873 There's more.

Well, I guess there are better sources to getting oriented to this, right? Maybe, reading "Walking with God?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIZAAh_6OXg or Anderson's Restored: http://www.amazon.com/Restored-Neil-T-Anderson/dp/1933383399/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1326819769&sr=8-4

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. I am getting to know Chris and now his wife, so I am just going to remain being me. If he has a question or whatever I’ll answer and try and refute, but I think my part of “fighting” is over.
Ray I am very fluent in DABism’s lol I have been here at least listening for…wow this is my fourth year. I stopped posting awhile back for various reasons. I have been stuck in this same hole of sin for this entire time and have for the most part only made matters worse. My entire post’s and thoughts boil down to the same thing. I can’t seem to stop my sin. Poor Kellie used to have to deal with me often on my little rants. I am surprised I never drove her nuts, which I may have but to her credit she never complained.
So I don’t think I am being too hard on myself, I think I am just very honest. I am the type that Paul would have said to “Turn over to satan for the destruction of my flesh.” This is why I found it so odd that God would put such a vocal Atheist in my path. It’s also odd that at around this same time I started to see through my pastor friends. That’s another story which I don’t care to go into. I think some of it might just be me.
All in all I think there is a reason why this is happening to me. My point in posting was that I think atheism is gaining ground in the Western world and the so called “new atheist” can be very aggressive and can really shake a person’s faith. I guess I just wanted to I guess put this situation out there in case someone else runs into this sort of situation. I was hoping it might give someone a sense of hope that there is a God so therefore there is a response and an answer. Not that I think I am qualified to give anyone here advice certainly, but I will say that someone new to the faith might lose hope if they were confronted with this.

Hi Frank - First of all, isn't it amazing what God is bringing into the mix of your life and Chris's all because of a little phrase??? I only skimmed the other postings, so I hope I'm not repeating what others have added. The pastor at our church used to be an atheist and is now leading an incredible revival in the suburbs of Seattle. He always recommends the book The Case for Christ: A Journalist's Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus by Lee Strobel. You can also check out ANY of the Christmas Eve messages at www.belpreg.org. He knows there are a lot of "C and E" (Christmas and Easter) attenders and makes the most of encouraging them to check out Christ.

Hey Frank-Lost-Sheep, hug! You don't drive me nuts and I'm glad to see you. I haven't been on the forums much until today, I've been hanging out in chat mostly, so if you feel like wasting an evening making Joyce and Wes and the rest of us think... come on in! :) I don't know what time that translates to in Germany....

Frank the best part of you is that you speak your heart. Not many are able to do that...Really enjoy the post.

When witnessing to people, sometimes it is our actions that speak louder than words. For example how we deal with problems, stress, financial burdens and daily life in gemeral. That is why the Lord said to cast your burdens onto him (Psalms 55:22), Even the things that come out of our mouth when we don't even realize it, can quickly turn someone away making it harder to reach out to them in the future. sometimes we just need to plant a few seeds and let God appoint someone else to gather the harvest. Prayer is another great solution for Mattt 18:19 says that if two are in agreement on earth concerning anything that they ask it will be done for them by the Father. Agape Love, prayer, patience and being the example is sometimes all it takes. When people see that in you, they can't help but wonder what makes you that way, and eventually want it also.
On the lighter side, an atheist had a sign on his wall which read "God is nowhere" A few years passed and the atheist had a son who was just learning to read, when the small boy saw the sign on the wall he said to his dad, I can read that sign. His dad followed with "Well why don't you read it then", the boy read..."God is Now Here"
You never know just how God will intervene but when he does he does it in a way that is undeniable so that people know it's him at work so he can receive all the praise and glory. Best Wishes.
