Hi:
I am the mother of four grown children and their spouses plus 2 beautiful grandsons. My prayer over the years was that my legacy would to be known as a godly woman and mother. What could be "safer" than that? Safe is the last word I would use to describe my life over the last 5 years. The dissolution of my marriage of 33 years, the announcement of my oldest son that he is now a Buddhist, the common law relationship of my youngest son, financial stress, job changes, moves, aging parents and deaths.....Did I anticipate that God would use these things to answer this "safe little prayer" from all those years ago? Not on your life! But, as I watch, I see how the Lord has meticulously exposed and cut away idols (ouch), taught me more about his faithfulness and unconditional love and how He continues to peel layers off this "hard old onion". He never does things by halves!
He has used DAB to saturate my days with scripture. Reading along in the morning focuses my day on Truth. The iphone app brings scripture to a waiting room or to my long commutes and yes, sometimes even eases me into sleep in those night hours which can feel so lonely. His word is always exactly what I need for that day!
It is incredible to know that so many others are "fighting the good fight" with me in this community.

What a testimony girl! I'm so glad that you are staying strong in your faith and in this community you will always be loved and welcomed. I pray that God would refresh you and fill your days with joy in doing Kingdom work.
